They gave me their resumes to try to get hired on my job. They were not who they profiled. I wanted to meet someone of quality. I paid this company over 2000 dollars for a lifetime membership and I met NO ONE of quality. I WAS TOTALLY DECEIVED!!! I WOULD ADVISED PEOPLE NOT TO JOIN THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT PERFORM BACKGROUND CHECKS and some of these men were NOT DIVORCED. SO WRONG and misleading. We met in the middle on some terms and ideas offered and listened to and I will keep my membership to its full term going forward. I show them pictures, I have strong descriptions, qualities, characteristics and more. I spoke to the top manager that day 25+ years experience. I almost fell off my chair!! Shows you how deceptive they can be, they will try to MILK you for all they can get from you. About 10 days goes by and I get called in for my photo shoot, that took about 3 hours to do. Then they spent about another hour with me going over things and gave me a list to take home of possible referrals, claimed they worked on that list of 15 people for over 3-4 hours to put it together. It was pretty obvious once I learned how to use the site, and looked at the list, they can just as easily jot down profile 's and claim whatever they want for time input. So I reviewed the list and there was NOTHING on that list that even remotely interested me - that was another clue they had never read my hand prepared typed initial profile I gave them and it was quite detailed both about me and what I wanted. So I got home and started to look for others locally. I was not interested in long distance, I wanted MLPS only! Give or take 100 miles maybe. So that would be bad for business to knock her. They claim they contacted her 3-4x and she would get to it, but never did. They did keep trying to send other referrals, but again, NONE of them were even close to the same ball park I was looking for. So I started looking more into the site. They claim they have 2100+ members. So at the time approx 1st or 2nd weekend in June I went through every profile on that site that was available to me. There was a total of 2182, 43% were inactivated there is only 4 reasons that can be: You're on hold to date another, you're on vacation, you have not paid your dues or you're now an expired member and they are still using your profile as bait for others. So I scaled it down to just the MLPS area. I found 685 total profiles, all age ranges and of that there was 47% that were inactive. So I now scaled it down to my age requested group and this is where it gets scary people. I asked to look in the 28-35 age group, so at first I started by looking in up to 40 years old, there was 68 members and 29 were inactive, then I look in exactly my age group, there was 34 members and 13 were inactive. I asked a series of questions. This company lied to me, they deceived me and they mislead me into a false contract. Now it does say on the back, that no refunds are permitted, but I did manage to block the final payment as I used a CC to purchase everything. A week later they refunded all my money. Do you think I accepted the offer? I am working with an attorney to settle this, but the CC company also said to me. They will then freeze the money from both parties and they will give me a chance to submit my documentation and I have printed out an awful lot of information for them to review. They will then send to an individual non biased arbitrator almost like going to small claims court and they will review everything. So I won't know for sure yet, but the CC did instruct me also NOT to agree to or sign anything, the company was only doing that for strong arm tactics and intimidation and that isn't happening. I will spend every free minute and go on every social media site I can find and every consumer site and contact the attorney general as well. They will feel my wrath! This company's office in MN has at least a dozen small claims courts filed against them - maybe a lot more. The Washington state office is being investigated by the state attorney General, the Wisconsin branch is also being investigated for fraud by the AG. It really spills the beans on what they do, especially how they determine your fees they charge you - scary stuff!! Let's just say you will need many months to read them all. They are far and wide! It is my sincere belief that this dirty-dealing organization operates just this side of legality. My complaint is concisely and precisely that this company procedural blueprint is designed to give free rein to its employees to ruthlessly pursue their quarry until - exasperated - they finally give in to extortion. They make the legendary used-car-salesman look docile. It must be a commission-based company in the high end. Add to that the insult-to-injury of intelligence fact that this organization thrives off of the fact that this organization thrives off of the misery of vulnerable people in the same manner that liquor distributors do. I hope to see the day come when reputable and well-intentioned dating services become predominant. To further get my interest, I was showed pictures of men that fit my Criteria and those were practically the only men I found in their entire database and even they were non-responsive. One of the reasons I say this is because I met a man that I know who has been in their database for about 10 years. In two months I was contacted by one person of a different race. When I called them 5 years later to use the site again they told me that I did not have a lifetime membership, and that the type of membership I bought was only 5 years. I asked to speak to the sales person that sold me the membership, she was not in. I asked for her to call me back, she never did!!! She made no indication that she would pass the word not to call my number. I don't see any way that this could possibly do more than irritate people who inquired of their company. They are misleading and dishonest. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office and waiting on results. If you are unhappy because you have been mislead please do the same. If more of us file a complaint the Attorney General's Office will investigate. I was lied about what they provide. They had told me they would send me two guys per week and would check on me weekly. They had a binder with lots of guys and claimed they had more. When I joined I did not find the profiles of the guys they showed me at the meeting. I emailed them about that and they never responded. Most members are inactive. There is no selection. They will also lied to you about being inactive for six months free of charge. The list goes on. Once they obtain your contact information, they will harass you through email, phone calls, etc. If you are vulnerable like I was and agree to an interview, they use high power sales tactics to bully clients into signing a contract. At the interview, the following duplicitous tactics are used by their corrupt sales persons: High powered aggressive sales tactics and distractions to lure you into a contract. Capitalizing on your emotional needs and even DISABILITIES. Misrepresent the services they offer and the hidden fees. They basically utilize any strategy to fraudulently persuade you to sign. They purposely and defiantly briefly go over the contract. Federal and State Dating Service laws indicate 3 business days to cancel a dating service contract. If you contact them immediately after signing the contract even the next day , they will not give you accurate information on how to cancel. She was cruel and verbally abusive. She outright refuses to work with you to resolve the issues. If you take them to small claims court, they will only agree to refund you of your money. In addition, they will threaten you with lawsuits. I have never encountered such deceptive business practices! They obtained my contact information and made repeated unsolicited contact with me. During the interview, the saleswoman used very manipulative techniques to coheres me into a contract over 6,000 dollars! I mentioned to her that I have a serious medical disability and I truly felt she used that to manipulate me. She spoke quickly and focused on Irrelevant information as a distraction. She gave inaccurate data regarding their success rate, failed to go into details regarding the contract. Once she got my credit card, there was no return! I am in the process of contacting the Illinois Attorney General to file a class action lawsuit. CF uses manipulative deceptive practices to exhort significant money from individuals. How would this get started? The fraud is so similar in the cases I have read here. I deleted the account number as I felt sick whenever I saw the name of this place. They're super suave at selling you on their program s , even travel to meet you, and are very accommodating. Unfortunately I signed a contract with them -- Agreed to a large upfront payment, with 2 additional installments 30 and 60 days later. I had a surgery near the end of my first 30 days, and was a couple days late sending the first installment. I did receive nice reminders from them that I was late on my part of the contract. Feeling guilty, I went ahead and made both payments within 35 days since I was late. Amazingly, haven't had a date since they received the full amount! I'm trying to make everyone aware of this fraudulent behavior in the hopes you don't make the same mistake and fall for their very polished approach. Then those I was not interested in. They claim the company does credit checks and some of the women are not classy at all. They say quality we cater to, successful, attractive, starts with dating quality singles. I clicked on 30 woman and 2 clicked back. Everyone else said no or inactive. The woman on the phone was very pleasant and scheduled me an appointment. When I went in all the women working there were very attractive. The woman I spoke with over the phone and had the appointment with was simply gorgeous. I thought this was the right place. When asked what type of women used this service they said the had lots of women members. I asked if I could see some of the women members. I was told that only members can view other members profiles. So after a 30 minute sales pitch that was a one time only deal of 4100 dollars, I signed up as a member. After becoming a member and had a profile I was selected once and only got one return response. When I complained that the service was terrible and there weren't any women I was interested in or interested in me, all the GE advisor could was I should upgrade to a better package. What a rip off. They mislead you with pretty women in the office then basically have very little clientele. I froze my account for about 3 months but was willing to date almost anyone who asked me. I Had about 8 first dates 5 second dates, a 10 date run with one guy and for the last 8 months, pretty much nothing. I very much wish I have saved my money. Lately they seem less interested in helping beyond just sending profiles. And when I sel, I never hear back. I could have been unsuccessful dating on my own. We had no idea of how costly and how high pressure their sales pitch would be. I remember them asking us how much our future happiness was worth. They told us both that there were many high quality men in our area who were members, but of course once we joined we found out that wasn't the case.
